Rush Sign Jamie Council Kicker
Council who has been working with the Rush the last few weeks has quickly and often proven she belongs on the field. Her accuracy especially on point after attempts has been the best out of all kickers and now she will get her chance to do it live.
"This is not a game we are taking lightly, we know what happened last year when we were in this position and we want to make sure there is no repeat. Jamie gives us the best option to put up points and put ourselves in a position to come out of Oregon with a win. She put in the work and proved to the team that she is ready for this role." - General Manager Danny Engel
Council who has been a soccer player since the age of 7 started out her career early by breaking the High School scoring record before moving her career onto Minot College (D2, NSIC). She further went on to play Semi-Pro soccer for the Seattle Stars and was the kicker for her High School football team where she was the only female in school history to score a point.
She also wasn't always a left footed kicker. Due to an injury at young age Jamie had to teach herself how to kick with the opposite foot. Right foot, Left Foot it doesn't matter she is ready to kick it straight and do what it takes to get her team a win.
